Councilman Kevin McManus Files for Re-Election to Continue to Represent Kansas City’s 6th Council District

Kansas City, MO – Today Councilman Kevin McManus presented nearly 750 signatures on his nomination petition when he filed for Re-Election representing the 6th City Council District. “I am proud of the confidence the voters have entrusted in me first as a State Representative and currently as their City Council Member,” said Councilman Kevin McManus.

As a public servant working at the state and local levels of government, Kevin has demonstrated leadership in representing his constituents. “Each day I strive to ensure our neighbors have the City services they need to improve their lives in our community,” stated McManus.

“Over the past four years, I have worked diligently with my colleagues on the Council and City staff to attract growth and opportunity in our City, while also focusing attention on the safety of our neighborhoods.” McManus continued, “A lot has been accomplished and much more effort is needed to continue the momentum of our City.”

Kevin McManus is completing his first term on the City Council, having previously served as a State Representative from 2010 to 2015. He serves as Vice Chair of Transportation and Infrastructure, Co-Chair Legislative Committee, and the Finance Committee. He is an attorney focusing on civil litigation and holds a Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University.
